Zoot has a policy of working locally first - offering (with your permission) your products to all the schools and educational establishments in your local area first. Then we advertise them on a national basis. (The buyer of your products pays for and arranges collection or delivery) If that doesn't work we would then offer them to charities, working mens clubs and other retail organisations. If they are still not sold, dependent on manufacturer chosen, we will credit you for them when you purchase a new chair(s) from us, arrange for the redundant chairs to be collected to coincide with your new chair delivery and recycle them.

This offer is not restricted to 'you buy one from us and we'll buy one from you' we will credit, collect and recycle any number (within reason!) - contact us for further information.

Reuse, Recycle, Recover

Our offer to resell redundant tables, desks and chairs currently free of charge also extends to all classroom, lecture room and specialist or college furniture. We have placed redundant wood/ metal work and laboratory furniture all around the country.

At Zoot we believe that virtually all redundant educational furniture has some value and that there is no longer any need to dispose of it in landfill. Landfill is an unsustainable activity which is both economically wasteful and environmenatally unacceptable. Metals, plastics and wood can be reused in some way. Un recyclable plastics and man-made timber composites can be turned into energy.
